Look how colorful!

I made this purse for one of Allison's friends for her birthday. She just turned 12, and I think she really actually thinks it's cool! Her mom called about 36 hours before the party, because she had just started putting it together herself. lol! At least I'm not the only one.

Anyway, I decided to make her a tote bag and was scrounging around the house for some fabric I thought a 12 year old might like. When I found the black with the bright colored polka-dots, I knew exactly what to do and, Voila! Here it is!

What a fun bag! And if a 12 year-old thinks it is cool, then that is high praise. That bag pattern is addicting - I'm well on my way to finishing my 3rd out of that same pattern!

It IS addicting! I've got a couple more in the works right now, and of course I want to make another one for me...I'll keep busy for sure!

I know a 41 year-old that thinks that bag is super cool! :-)
Do you have a link for the pattern Lauri? Not that I know how to sew... but I'd like to try...

I really liked your purse/tote bag you made too! I couldn't find if you had shared the pattern.... are you willing to tell? Or give instructions? And I don't even know if this will work to email you - I am very new to this whole flickr/blog thing - and no one I know knows anymore than I do! But I am going to give it a try. If you do share, my email address is: dcarlson11553@sbcglobal.net - hope that is okay to share that!? Anyway, thanks, Diane
