Look what I made!

I'm so excited and proud of myself! My first quilted bag and a pouch to match. Well, shoot! I wish I had the link to the blog that had the tutorial for this...but I can't even remember the person's name! Ugh! I'm getting so old! If I do remember it later, I'll come back and add it.

But...it was really fun and easy to make. A dream for a quilter like me. I love making quilt tops...picking out the fabrics and putting them all together, but the actual quilting...not so much. But this is just like a little mini quilt-you get fast results! lol! I've already cut out all the pieces to make a black and white one, but haven't been able to sew them together yet. And...today a friend of mine asked me to make one for her! She needs one in browns, which I don't have a lot of. Sooo...guess I'll just have to make another trip to the fabric porn store...I mean JoAnn's or a quilt shop or something. lol!

*Update: THANK YOU to Linda at CraftApple ( http://craftapple.wordpress.com/ ) for letting me know where the tutorial is that I used to make this purse. It's from Creative Little Daisy at http://creativelittledaisy.typepad.com/creative_little_daisy/2006/06/two_little_tuts.html
They really are super easy to make and yes, maybe even THE perfect project for the ADD quilter...lol! And now everyone I know wants one!

I love this pattern as well! It's exactly like you said - you get to quilt, but not have to deal with all that fabric - could it be the perfect project???

Yours turned out great. Have fun at the fabric store!
