Got Ethan to the doctor, anyway...

His diagnosis: Pneumonia. This is REALLY cutting into -pardon the pun :)- my crafting time, people! Isn't there some fabulous, germ-free resort that Calgon can take me away to? Please, Calgon-I'm begging you!

*To the people I owe swaps to: I promise you I have NOT forgotton! Some are even all ready to go, but I'm trying to finish up the 'Four Seasons Fall Quilt' and keep thinking, "It'll be done today, then I'll mail them all at once", but...sick children and breathing treatments aren't helping any. Which reminds me...apparently, puberty can bring back all that asthma that has been lying dormant in Allison's lungs for a while, so she's been needing breathing treatments lately. Now, with Ethan's pneumonia, he definitely needs them. All these years, we've been able to walk into the pharmacy and pick up the new tubing or masks anytime we need them...which Steven attempted to do yesterday, since I don't want Allison's weakened, pneumonia prone lungs sharing tubing and a mask with Ethan, and now we have to have a prescription! Of course, the doctor's office is closed at that point, so there goes something else I have to take care of today. And why didn't the doctor know that we needed a prescription for that anyway? You certainly don't want to make it easy on a parent with a sick child, do you? Ay yi yi!

I guess if I have to go out for that, that means I'll have to take a shower today. Seeing how I haven't had one since Tuesday, it's probably warrented anyhow.

*QUICK POLL: I can't be the only one who sometimes, not often, but sometimes, doesn't get to take showers when you or your kids are sick, or ends up in the fetal position on the kitchen floor crying because the very last straw just dropped. If you don't, lie to me and say you do anyway! lol! Do these things happen to most parents? It's not just me, is it???

No, not just you. Something that has really helped me is opmom.com. It really helps me to organize my life and even get in a shower. ;)

Oh, I hope everything and everyone will be well again soon, but in the meantime, if you can't get in the shower, a "baby-wipe" shower is a passable substitute. Freshens you up a little, at any rate.
