A very quick post...so you know I'm still here...

WOW! What a hectic Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday season!!! I have rarely even had the computer turned on, much less had time to check many blogs or post to my own. However, over the next week or so, I'll be getting all of my pictures off of the camera, onto the computer and posted here and there (BlogSmith or Flickr.

A quick shout out to Cherri at 'Cherry House Quilts'!!! I actually got to meet her while back home in Kingwood at Thanksgiving, and she awarded me with a prize of some beautiful scraps from her pile, that I 'won' on her blog. She is a fantastic lady who has single-handedly raised 4 amazing children on her own, and makes wonderful quilts as well. Funny how small the world really is...her 'quilt shop' is my "old" quilt shop from when we lived in Kingwood, before we moved to San Antonio 2 1/2 years ago. Thank you so much, Cherri! I have pictures of the stack and I've made a couple of little things from some of it. I know I should have posted this a LONG time ago, but...if it's not one thing it's another. Anyway, I'm so glad I got to meet you and we will definitely have to do it again!

Lots of other things going on...not to mention the water main to our house breaking and spewing water everywhere and not having any water for a day. Of course, these things only happen on holidays like Christmas and the 4th of July, so you have to pay the emergency fee and feel good about paying off the plumber's Christmas.

I'll get to work, and be back soon! Happy Holidays, everyone!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a nice hello. It looks like you like to do many crafts too. My cousin lives in your big city--haven't been there yet.
